The login password is the password to log in your Gate.io account. You may reset it by clicking
Forgot password? on the login screen with your email address linked to your Gate.io account.
The fund password is a different password. It is used when you are trading and withdrawing assets. You may reset it by clicking Settings tab on the top to access the settings page. Then click Change fund password on the left panel of the page to change it.
Please note, the fund password must be totally different from your login password and old fund password.
And a internet service with a static IP is recommended when you are changing password.
How to Change Fund Password With your Email
Click Settings on the top of the webpage (https://gate.io) to access to the settings page
Scroll to the end of the page, Click Change fund password on the left panel of the page.
Enter your email and login password and the code displaying. Then click Submit
If successful, a message will display:
Then access your email to find the resetting message.
And change your fund password with the resetting link.

How cai i find my fund passwaord
It says my account does not exist when I do this, but I can log in just fine
i forgot my fundpassword. really need to trade now...what am i goin to do? no support?

First, it didn't recognize email and/or login pw, then I had to login again which worked, now it just keeps saying too many attempts... how can I trade like this let alone withdraw the funds?
No, i dont know whats goin on with the support of this homepage. If they continue like that, they will be gone in a few weeks...only reason why i am here is Nebulas (Nas) Coin.
I have changed my fund password, but it is still saying "invalid fund password" when trying to initiate a trade.

There seem a to be a few reddit and other blogs that indicate that there might be some scammy stuff going on with the rebranded gate.io -
They log me out everytime I try to change the fund password I set when I opened the account 6 days ago. Can't trade or withdraw funds, perhaps this is on purpose... Tried it on the iphone app and 3 different browsers several times a day.
I have logged 2 tickets, only get responses in Chinese that I translate in Google translate and some in English sending me FAQ links that are useless as the issue is not a lack of knowledge, I already have 10+ trading accounts that work perfectly fine...
I had the same problem but solved it! Please try to reset your login passwaord first, then change your fund password. I don't know why but it worked for me.
Thank you so much for the tip, it didn't work straight away and often have to redo the steps, but was finally able to withdraw as no matter how much I would like to buy NAS, it's not worth it to have so much of a headache with all the opportunities available.

Why is my trade taking so long on open order and saying (locked ) after your asset your trading from example ltc ??? Do i have to do something more than buy the coin and wait for open order??

Why does it show withdrawals are disabled ... quick enough to take deposits but not give them back ?

Changing fund password isnt possible. It always says that my login does not exist which make no sense because it says it after i logged succesful in.
