1.What is the time condition order?
The time condition order is a time- based conditional order, which is triggered at a preset time interval (trigger interval)during the valid period. When it is triggered, the will check if other criteria are met, if met, an buy/sell order will be placed at the limit price and amount.
2.What is the Trigger Interval?
Trigger interval is the time interval the time condition order will repeat at from the time it is place until it expires.
If the trigger interval is set as 1 min, the time condition order will be triggered at the interval of every 1 minute.
3. Price settings
Price can be chosen from bid /ask(bid1 to bid 5, ask 1 to ask 5) and last price directly, or you can add or minus from this price item to set yours.
Example:
User A chooses Bid 1+0.0001 as price. If bid 1 is 0.4565 when the time condition order is triggered, the limit price will be 0.4566, that is (0.4565) + 0.0001.
4.Order Cancel Settings:
There are three cancel settings you can choose from, Auto-replace, IOC(immediate or cancel), and Cancel After (cancel after a set interval).
Auto-replace: when the time condition order is triggered and all the other conditions are met, the previous open order this conditional order placed will be canceled and a new order will be placed instead.
IOC(immediate or cancel: In the case a time condition order is triggered and a limit order is placed, the order must be filled immediately at the limit price or better only. If the order cannot be filled immediately or fully (i.e. only partially filled), the unfilled portion will be canceled.
Cancel After (Auto-Cancel after a set interval):
User sets a value as the cancel interval, specifying how long will wait before it cancel the unfilled order portion after time condition order is triggered and this limit order is placed. The cancel interval must be less than the trigger interval.
5.Is it possible to have more than one limit order placed by the same time condition order in the order book at the same time?
No. Every time a time condition order is triggered, one limit order is placed only. And all the other previous open orders will be removed from the order book by order cancel settings.
6. About Advanced Option Criteria Settings:
If the available balance of the coin is within the set range, the criterion is met. That is greater than the minimum and less than the max mum.
Example: if the range is set as (3 to 10), this criterion is met when the available balance of this coin is greater than 3 and less than 10.
If the price is within the set range, the criterion is met. That is greater than the minimum and less than the maximum.
The advanced option only take effect after it is configured. Once configured, all the criteria in the advanced option must be met in order to place the order. A failure to meet any single criterion will cause a failure to place the order.
7 What is Valid duration?
The valid duration is calculated from the time the time condition order is placed. The time condition order will be triggered at the set interval until the valid duration expires. When the valid duration expires, the time condition order expires.
8. Will the time condition order cancel the limit order it placed when it expires?
Yes, it will. When the time condition order expires or canceled by you, it will cancel the open order it placed automatically.
9.Can a time condition order be triggered more than one time?
Yes.
Theoretically, time condition order is triggered when it is set and can be triggered again at the set interval during the valid duration.
Triggered times= Valid duration(day)*24*3600/(trigger interval * 60)+1
Example:
If user A set trigger interval as 1 min, and the valid duration is 1 day.
The calculated times this time condition order will be triggered are:
Triggered times =1 * 24 * 3600 / (1 * 60)+1 = 1441
10.Can not find the open limit order when my time condition order is triggered and an order is supposed to place, why?
If you can not find the limit order placed by this time condition order, consider the following scenario:
1)The available balance is insufficient and order can not be placed.
2)Your order fully fills immediately
or
You enabled IOC and unfilled order is removed immediately from the open order tab.
11.How many time condition orders are allowed in one gate.io account?
Up to 3 active time condition orders(yet to expire and not being canceled) are allowed in one gate.io account.
