Gate.io Launches Bug Bounty Program and Ranks Number 1 on TOP 100 Exchanges by Cybersecurity Rating

Meanwhile, Gate.io has also been awarded a 3-star CER certificate, the highest level a crypto exchange can attain. Now Gate.io is one of the 6 crypto exchanges worldwide that have gained access to this certificate.



Founded in 2018, CER is a world-renowned cybersecurity assessment platform that reviews crypto exchanges by cybersecurity. 

Cryptocurrency Exchanges Security Standards of CER include Cyber Security Score, Penetration Test, Proof of Funds, and Bug Bounty. Those standards have been implemented by well-established industry platforms such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap.

Gate.io has collaborated with HackenProof, a member of CER, to launch the Gate.io Bug Bounty program.

According to HackenProof’s assessment, Gate.io is equipped with an extraordinarily secure infrastructure:

HackenProof has initiated a comprehensive assessment of Gate.io’s network infrastructure and underlying application , utilizing active Exploitation Techniques. It tested the security performance as if Gate.io was confronted with a fierce attack so as to verify the effectiveness of its security mechanism.
Gate.io performed excellently during the test and has successfully passed numerous penetration tests carried out by Hacken engineers alongside unique, industry-standard methodologies able to probe the security limits of crypto exchanges.
